Functional/Work Capacity Evaluation

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive, standardized assessment used to measure an individual’s functional abilities in relation to the demands of work and daily activities. I conduct FCEs using the Matheson Protocol, a defensible evidence-based methodology that emphasizes reliability, task-specific analysis, and objective measurement. As a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator (CWCE), I assess strength, endurance, mobility, task persistence, pain behavior, and functional tolerances, providing clear, objective data to inform return-to-work planning, vocational decision-making, rehabilitation needs, and disability determinations.
